Company History
Our journey began in Garland, Texas with Amtex Corporation in 2004. The goal was to bring fast, cost-effective building solutions through innovative modular technology. At the time, modular constructions was still emerging and often misunderstood - many associated the term 'modular' only with jobsite trailers, rather than the broader, transformative possibilities it represents today. In 2006, Amtex expanded its reach by acquiring Indicom Buildings in Burleson, Texas and officially established the original Sunbelt Modular family of companies.
In 2007 and 2008, Sunbelt positioned itself as a significant regional player with the acquisitions of Phoenix Modular and MR Steel. In 2020, Sunbelt expanded into the Southeast, welcoming several new businesses into its growing family - ProMod Manufacturing in Ellaville, Georgia; Southeast Modular in Leesburg, Florida; and Specialized Structures in Willacoochee, Georgia.
From 2023 to 2025, Sunbelt continued its rapid growth, adding several well-established businesses to its family of companies - ProBox Manufacturing in Ellaville, Georgia; C&B Custom Modular in Bristol, Indiana; and Northwest Building Systems in Boise, Idaho. In 2025, Sunbelt added Britco Structures in Teague, Texas; and four Whitley Manufacturing divisions in South Whitley, Indiana; Leola, Pennsylvania; Marysville, Washington; and Rochester, Indiana.
