Company History
Our Story
In 1951, a dedicated group of individuals was guided by the biblical commandment to “Honor thy
father and thy mother.” Those committed and visionary men and women nurtured a dream and left
a legacy in establishing the Jewish Home for the Aged, eventually renamed The William Breman
Jewish Home.
Over the years, anticipating and responding to the needs of those we serve, our organization has
enjoyed significant growth. As the need for senior care services increased, so did our need to better
communicate all of the care and supportive services that we provide in addition to the high quality
skilled nursing care for which we are known.
In 2012 the organization took steps to brand all of our entities under one greater organization name,
Jewish Home Life Communities (JHLC). Since that time, it became increasingly apparent that our
constituents (residents/clients, families, donors, volunteers) did not really understand who we are,
what we offer, and which entities belong under the JHLC umbrella.
