We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Day Porter/Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at our properties throughout the Metro Atlanta area and surrounding areas. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas are spotless, sanitized, and well-maintained, supporting infection prevention and control standards. Your proactive approach will help create a positive experience for staff, visitors, and patients alike. Responsibilities
Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, lobbies, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
Follow strict safety protocols related to chemical handling and manual handling to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces using approved chemical agents in accordance with healthcare infection prevention guidelines.
Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
Use cleaning equipment properly and perform routine maintenance checks on tools to ensure optimal operation.
Assist with environmental services tasks including restocking supplies, and ensuring all areas meet sanitation requirements for health and safety compliance.
Requirements
Qualifications
Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial settings is preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and chemical handling procedures is essential for safe work practices.
Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward staff and visitors.
Ability to follow detailed safety procedures related to chemical agents and manual handling tasks effectively.
