Description
As one of New Jersey's oldest hospitals and a part of RWJBarnabas Health system, Clara Maass Medical Center, offers a 12-month post-graduate Administrative Fellowship designed to provide immersive exposure to hospital leadership and operations. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Leadership Team, the Fellow leads and supports projects that align with the organization’s strategic priorities across operations, finance, clinical and ancillary services, quality and patient safety, regulatory, and other key hospital departments. These initiatives focus on improving operational efficiency, enhancing the patient experience, advancing health equity, and driving organizational excellence. The Fellow participates in executive meetings and has the opportunity to observe high-level leadership discussions, gaining firsthand insights into executive decision-making. Projects are tailored to the Fellow’s interests, experience, and professional development goals while fostering core competencies in leadership, analytics, and project management. Upon completion of this program, the Fellow will have a comprehensive understanding of hospital operations and the leadership skills needed to succeed in today’s evolving healthcare environment.
Requirements
Applications must be submitted in one combined PDF file containing the following:
- Personal Statement which addresses what you hope to gain from and an Administrative Fellowship and how you will contribute to Clara Maass Medical Center. (750 words max)
- Graduate school transcript, confirming a minimum GPA of 3.5 out of a 4.0 scale.

Qualified applicants include recent Master’s-level graduates with interest in healthcare (MHA, MBA, MHSA, MSHA, MPH) from a US-based university. Applicants must be US citizens or be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (we are unable to sponsor H-1B visas).
